Sandra’s Taste of Britain – April 2013

“The cook is a hand-craftsman, very much like a smith or a potter” – Nicolas Freeling   EATING outside has always been popular, and many swear the same food tastes completely different outside. I understand that a lot of people do not cook anymore [...]

Sandra’s Taste of Britain – November 2012

The Kitchen is the ‘heart of the home’; The cook is the ‘soul’ I RECENTLY returned from a trip to England with my dear friend Penny, to celebrate 50 years of friendship, very special. We met in Hitchin, my ‘home’ town both applying for a receptionist position at The Sun Hotel, Penny missed her train [...]

Sandra’s Taste of Britain – October 2012

“He is an ill cook that cannot lick his own fingers” – Traditional THIS MONTH is a continuation of some of the British products and childhood memories Bovril: Another salty product that I love. Sandra’s Taste of Britain – September 2012

“If you’re afraid of butter, use cream” “The best way to execute French cooking is to get good and loaded, and whack the hell out of a chicken. Bon Appetit! – Julia Child I ALWAYS admired Julia Child, she was such an inspiration, and I love these two quotes of her! She was a no [...]
