Different ‘Shades Of Gray’ May Disappoint

FOLLOWERS of the bestseller book Fifty Shades of Grey could find themselves underwhelmed over the release of what appears to be the latest in the collection.

It is billed as a “stunning tour de force” which gets “darker and darker” as the book continues – and it certainly does, but, not quite the way one would expect.

Closer inspection of Fifty Shades of Gray reveals it to be a novelty notepad featuring, simply, 200 blank pages on different shades of gray paper. Plus, as advertised, there are four pages in each of the 50 shades which start light and get darker and darker.

The £12.99 book, sold on Amazon, was conceived by author Sheridan Simove who previously had a hit with What Men Think About Apart From Sex, also containing 200 blank pages.

Simove said: “Just like EL James’s popular novel, I hope my new book will deliver deep and satisfying pleasure.”

Meanwhile, pensioners are reportedly bombarding a charity for audio versions of the real thing. Calibre Audio Library has received hundreds of requests for copies of the erotic trilogy, with most coming from women over 70.

Bosses at the charity, which provides audiobooks for the visually impaired, have had to order in extra copies to cope with demand.
