Outward 'Bounders' Sought For Generations Initiative

ONE MILLION Plus Outward "Bounders" across
the generations connect and share their stories in a unique, new
online space!
The Outward Bound Trust announces the launch
of its latest initiative - Generations - a project reaching out to
all those who have ever participated in an Outward Bound course
since its beginning in 1941.
The Outward Bound Trust has extraordinary
and ambitious plans to reach out and unite over one million former
Outward "Bounders" who have experienced the fantastically
life-changing Outward Bound courses over the past 68 years.
The Trust has invested in creating a unique
space
www.outwardboundgenerations.org.uk for all the generations
of Outward Bounders to share their stories.

The Outward Bound Trust believes that
'Generations' will create a new community of shared experiences that
reach across the generations. The work of Outward Bound crosses some
seven generations and those memories from long ago are as fresh
today as ever.
SHARE
"We want to place the different generations
of Outward Bounders in the same "room" online and give them the
chance to share their stories." says Nick Barrett, Chief Executive
of The Outward Bound Trust. For nearly 70 years generations of young
people have been having the same intense Outward Bound experience
and we want to hear about it. The person who participated in an
Outward Bound course in, say 1952, had the same powerful experience
as the person taking a course this week. Over the decades the
mountains have been just as daunting, the weather just as
unpredictable and the water just as icy. At the same time, the
trials, the triumphs, the highs, the lows and above all, the
learning, have been equally powerful. There are a million stories of
personal growth, adventure and fulfillment waiting to be told and
shared."
There are over a million people who have
attended Outward Bound. Now is the time to connect and share your
story. All Outward Bounders need to do is visit
www.outwardboundgenerations.org.uk and tell it how it was. |
