We begin this
month, where we ended last month: The Millers. After the explosion
and fire, they are homeless, and since Keith didn’t make the
insurance payments (natch), completely broke, with nothing but the
donated clothes on their backs. Keith leaves town, along with
Mickey, to go live with Rosie. Seeing how desperate Dawn is,
fiancé Jase decides to go back to his life of crime, delivering
dodgy packages for the Firm, and Dawn doesn’t seem to care where
the money comes from, as long as it keeps coming – that is until
Jase comes home one night all bloodied...
And to
add insult to injury, we find out what happened to the Miller’s
lost lottery ticket: Bianca’s step-daughter, Whitney, found it and
Bianca ain’t givin’ it back. She goes on a Chav-fabulous shopping
spree, setting a fine example for her collection of children...
But
there’s some good news too...Bradley and Stacy are back to being a
happy couple; Soon to be complicated by the return of Max, no
doubt. He returns when Abi sneaks her Mum’s phone and texts him to
come back. He does, thinking it was Tanya who wanted him. But
Tanya is hot and heavy with his brother Jack, and when Max finds
out, he sets about trying to make their lives miserable. And now
the kids know, and they’re not too happy either...And another
Branning shows up, Suzy, and she has trouble written all over
her...
And
speaking of unhappy kids... All poor little Philly Elliot, (um, I
mean Ben Mitchell) wants to do is dance, but his toxic macho dad
Phil is against it. But Peggy lets him sneak around and dance
behind his dad’s back, until Phil finds Ben’s dance shoes and all
hell breaks loose: Phil screams at Peggy to butt out, and Peggy
screams back the question that we’ve all pondered all these years,
“Why is a 45 year old man still living with his mother?!?”
Startled by the sudden burst of logic, Phil moves out, taking a
heartbroken Ben, who wants to stay with gran....
Elsewhere around the Square...With Lucy threatening to run away
again, Ian turns to Jane’s brother, Christian in desperation,
asking if she can live with him. He’s skeptical, but relents.
Since Christian is the only adult she likes, Lucy thinks it’s
going to be a 24/7 party. But when she reverts to her bratty,
binge-drinking self, Christian puts his foot down better than Ian
ever did; forcing her to take responsibility for her actions...And
Ian turns the Masoods into caterers...
Across
the Square Roxy had run away, to escape from Sean and no one knows
where she went except Peggy who is keeping it a secret from a
frantic Ronnie, (and Sean). But when she relents and takes Ronnie
to see her, it turns out she’s staying with their Dad, Archie
Mitchell, brother of Peggy’s late hubby. He’s the nightmare who
forced young Ronnie to give her baby up for adoption. He’s
abusive, manipulative and dishonest, so of course, Peggy falls
head over heels for him. Meanwhile Sean discovers Roxy’s locale,
steals a car and comes to find her. They reconcile, she returns to
the Square, and they elope to Town Hall to get married (crazy
kids). At the reception in the Vic (natch) Peggy and Archie turn
up and announce they’re engaged! Duf, duf...
