  • May 3: St George’s Society Pub Crawl on the historic Stone Street in downtown New York, co-hosted by Ulysses bar at 58 Stone Street near Hanover Square. 1pm onward, spend the summer afternoon eating oysters and drinking Guinness on the oldest paved street in New York.   • May 10-June 15 Koroneburg European Old World Festival in Riverview Park, 14600 River Road in Corona 92880. 11-7 Saturday and 11-6 Sunday where you’ll meet hundreds of family members living, working and playing in Southern California’s only permanent Renaissance Village. Visitors to this 1450-1600 European Village are entertained in this fictitious estate of the Baron Heinrich Von Lauffer, located along the Rhine River (aka Santa Ana River) between Mainz and Strasbourg. Each year the Baron invites the finest minds and most talented actors to celebrate the coming of spring at his Barony of Koroneburg.

  • When you visit Cameron’s Inn on Hwy 1 in Half Moon Bay, don’t forget to look across the road to see the big white house on the hill. The Johnston House was the first wood building constructed along this coast, built in 1853. Cameron was so intrigued by its history that he became President of the Johnston House Foundation, which restored the structure and it is now open for free tours the third Saturday of the month. You can eat lunch in “The Johnston Room” of the Inn and then head across the highway to visit the “White House of Half Moon Bay.” After the tour, head for Main St to buy flowers at the Flower Market to round out a Saturday outing.
