Sign Shows Pedestrians One Way, But Points Another Way

PAINTING road signs has got more confusing, at least for some Swindon roadworkers. In not checking their right or left hands, some road painters left pedestrians in total confusion last month.
At a crossing point over a busy road pedestrians are told to look left (which is correct), but an arrow points right (which is not only incorrect, but could be deadly).
With the buses walkers are supposed to look out for passing down the road from left to right, but anyone following the advice of the painted arrow could find themselves in serious trouble.
Thankfully, whoever painted the markings got it . . . right – on the opposite side of the road – with an arrow pointing right next to the warning ‘look right’.
