Tardis Lands In Cardiff In Same Week As Olympics

THE FIRST event in the London 2012 Olympic Games will take place on July 25, two days ahead of the official Opening Ceremony. Great Britain’s women’s football team will take on New Zealand at the impressive Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, but that’s not all the Welsh capital will be enjoying that week.

July 20 sees the opening of the Doctor Who Experience, BBC Worldwide’s multi-award winning visitor attraction. The Doctor Who Experience is the first ever interactive Doctor Who exhibition that invites fans of the programme to star in their own Doctor Who adventure. Arriving at the venue they ‘step through a crack in time’ to become the Doctor’s companion, taking on the challenge of reuniting the Doctor with the tardis whilst fending off threats from some of his most fearsome foes – entering a Dalek spaceship and finding a way through a maze of Weeping Angels. The exhibition presents fans with the world’s most extensive collection of original Doctor Who costumes and artefacts stretching back almost 50 years to the very first series of Doctor Who – which marks half a century next year.
