‘Viral Fenton’ Mashed Up Into ‘Boat Race Trenton’

A YOUTUBE video has been ‘mashed up’ (dubbed with different voiceover) into a comic version of the protester, Trenton Oldfield, who stopped the boatrace last month by swimming into the path of the Oxford and Cambridge crews.

The boatrace video features the ‘Fenton’ soundtrack, which derives from Fenton the dog chasing red deer in Richmond Park, London, as his owner chased the animal yelling desperately: “Fenton!”

The ‘mash-up’ of Fenton the dog and Trenton the boat race saboteur has now gone viral.

In the new video, Oldfield is shown in the Thames to an audio backing of the dog’s furious owner shouting: “Fenton! Fenton! Jesus Christ! Fenton!”

The video has put a comedy spin on what was a dramatic event.

Oldfield, 36, is an environmental campaigner, was hauled from the water and arrested on public order offences after his actions halted the prestigious event for half an hour.
