MIRREN FILM CHOSEN TO CLOSE VENICE FILM FESTIVAL
AWARD-WINNING British actress Helen Mirren who stars in directorJulie Taymor’s adaptation of Shakespeare’s “The Tempest,” will have the honour of seeing the film close the 67th Venice Film Festival on September 11, for its world premiere. It will be screened out-of-competion.
Mirren, who just celebrated her 65th birthday, portrays Prospera, a female version of Prospero, the sorcerer.
The film will be released in the US by Disney’s Touchstone Pictures in mid-December.
